I subscribed to several "subscription boxes" for 2 or 3 years, Birchbox, Sample Society, and Ipsy. I finally had to give them all up but the Birchbox. Mostly because of the points/rewards system they offer.
My "to use" pile was becoming boxes of unused items. I would give the girls some items that I knew they would use. But, essentially getting 3 boxes of items every month, there was no way I could use up all the items.
Last month I started using some of the items and I can't believe I still have some of the sample size items with product in them. I used it almost everyday for a month.
This little project is going to take longer than I thought. So, I am definitely putting myself on a no buy month.
I have tons of drug store to high end makeup, skin care, body and hair products that I received just from the boxes.
I do love the boxes it was just becoming too much for me to use up.
Lastly, I am going to sort this mess (I love it, though) and pick out items to use up by Christmas
